JSON Path Finder: Navigate JSON structures. A free, browser-based tool from DevToolbox that runs entirely on your own device: no upload, no account, no tracking.

About the JSON Path Finder

Query a JSON document with a path expression and see just the value you asked for, so you can confirm the shape before writing the code that depends on it.

Generation uses the browser's cryptographic random source where randomness matters, so values are suitable for identifiers and secrets rather than being predictable pseudo-random output.

What you can do with it

  • JSONPath expression
  • JSON navigator
  • JSON tree viewer
  • JSON explorer

How to use it

  1. Set how much you want and any options that apply.
  2. Generate, and the result appears immediately.
  3. Regenerate as many times as you like; nothing is stored or reused.
  4. Copy the output when you are happy with it.

Questions

Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool is JavaScript that runs in the tab you already have open, and DevToolbox has no backend to send anything to. You can open the network tab and watch: after the page and its script load, nothing is sent while you work.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, yes. The tool needs no network access to do its job, so it keeps working if your connection drops. Reloading the page does need the network unless your browser has it cached.

The JSON Path Finder sits in Data & Productivity, one of the 90 tools on DevToolbox.
